My name is Dana - a passionate book lover from Central MN who believes that there’s a perfect book out there for everyone—you just have to find it. I have been a lover of reading for as far back as I can remember. I read across all genres, from fast-paced thrillers and magical fantasies to heartfelt romances and deep literary fiction. If it has a good story, I’m in!
When I’m not lost in the pages of a great book, I’m usually hanging out with my adorable puppy, Toby. He’s small, but full of personality, and has a habit of “helping” me read (mostly by sitting on whatever book I'm trying to finish!).
The idea for Tales + Twine was born out of my excitement after finishing a good book and feeling like I need to suggest it to others! My biggest passion is helping readers—whether you're just starting your reading journey or are a seasoned reader with a towering TBR—discover new authors, explore different genres, and fall even more in love with reading. On top of reading being a great pastime, it is also an effective and accessible form of self-care that reduces stress by up to 68% in just six minutes, often working faster than music or a walk. It acts as a mental escape, improves sleep and strengthens cognitive function. My mission is to help grow someone’s love of reading, while helping them with overall stress relief!
Tales + Twine offers a fun twist to a reader's journey through Blind Date with a Book bundles – a great way to add some fun mystery/excitement to a reader’s journey through trying new authors or genres, or finding a new book by an author they love! (They also make great gifts!) In addition, we provide a thoughtfully curated collection of cute accessories to help jazz up reading experiences!
